Etymology
of Names
The etymology of names is a tricky subject in that
much research is needed to uncover the true facts in regard to the
history of any one given name. Since this is a humor site and I'm
too lazy to do research into the etymology of names, I will just
make up some facts to give you.
The etymology of names is a fun subject for
those analytical types who like to delve into things, people
and places. Curious types will find much delight in researching
and knowing the etymology of a name, particularly their own.
On this site, though, we make everything up so when you
look from A - Z about the meaning of names, you'll see a
joke instead of facts. This is how it should be in the real
world as the real world is way too serious and fantasy is
much more delightful.

When one starts looking into the etymology of names one also starts
to get involved with the genealogy of one's family as well. This
is a mistake since most families are not of nobility, rather they
are filled with pathetic and shameful scoundrels who steep the family
tree in degradation, humiliation and pontification.
Pontification is fine for the Pope, but if you're not the Pope
or descended from the Pope, then you're a dope. Pope a dope as Muhammad
Ali used to say.
The etymology of names can be summed up in one word: an unworthy
use of one's time here on earth. Okay, that was more than one word,
but this is a word site, so we tend to be a bit verbose here.
If you would like to know the true etymology of names then you
have no business being here. Run, don't walk to another site that
deals with facts, figures, shapes and forms, yet I digress. This
site has no facts upon it only farce. So, when we talk about the
etymology of any given word, it is only by chance that we get something
right.
You deserve better than this my dear reader. Okay, maybe not. It
was worth a try. The point I'm trying to make using several hundred
words when only a few would have sufficed is that if you want to
know the true etymology of names then go elsewhere. If you would
like to know the funny etymology of names, however, stick around
and check out the other pages since you are sure to find something
that will give a giggle, groan or even guffaw. And, that may just
be worth a wee bit more of your time, now mightn't it?
